Hi all! My name is Keira. I sing, act, and teach in the Twin Cities. Music is my first great love, and I have been a performer my entire life. The most rewarding aspect of the arts for me is the community we built through exploring stories with others. I believe great art helps people connect to common humanity, an essential ingredient to building a better world for all people. As a teacher, I strongly believe each person has a story to tell, and I work to create spaces in which students can explore many tools and techniques to get their own most free storytelling self.
More about my artistic life: I’ve trained in a variety of vocal styles, including pop, rock, and opera, in addition to musical theatre. I was selected as a 2024 GreenRoom Fellow through the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. I graduated from Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies.
Outside of theatre, I love reading, writing, hiking, lifting weights, and adventuring with my family. I’m passionate about justice movements, speculative fiction, and human rights. I recently read the completed works of Octavia Butler. I am deeply nerdy about music theory.
